Michelle Williams Says Busy Philipps Is “Proof That the Love of Your Life” Can Be Your BFF
If you’ve ever felt like marrying your BFF out of sheer convenience—she’s already your emergency contact anyway—Michelle Williams knows the feeling. At a Louis Vuitton-hosted screening of her new film Manchester by the Sea on Sunday, the actress called her longtime friend and former co-star Busy Philipps the love of her life.
“I’m here with my best friend,” she told People. “I’m so in love with her. She’s proof that the love of your life does not have to be a man! That’s the love of my life right there.”
Ever since they co-starred together on Dawson’s Creek, these two have been basically inseparable. Philipps even posted a hilarious throwback shot of the duo from 2001 alongside Sunday night’s glamorous red carpet pic. “I love that we almost always stand on the same side of each other,” she wrote. “Also, can I just say-we aren’t at a costume party in 2001. That’s legit how we were dressed for a regular night out.”
2001/2016 I love that we almost always stand on the same side of each other. Also, can I just say-we aren’t at a costume party in 2001. That’s legit how we were dressed for a regular night out. I guess I really was my character from Cougartown? And thank God my eyebrows grew back.
